The Rocket Science Group is a co-development game studio specialising in multiplayer, platform services, publishing technology, and live operations for PC, console, and mobile titles. 

We have teams in Europe and North America and work in partnership with the game industry’s top creators. 

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Recruiter at Rocket Science you will play a key role in helping to grow our global teams attracting, headhunting and interviewing top talent.  You will be passionate about people and creating an excellent candidate experience.  

Our recruitment team provides support for our hubs in Cardiff, New York and Texas and we are currently seeking someone to join us in our Cardiff studio, on a hybrid basis, combining office and home-based work.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Sourcing top Technical Talent - for our studios across the UK and US, building a pipeline of talent across certain skill sets (mainly within Software Engineering) 

  • Candidate Management & Interviewing - deliver a high quality candidate experience from start to finish whilst providing updates through each stage 

  • Relationship Management - with candidates, Hiring Managers and the whole Rocket Science crew

  • Recruitment Administration - across a variety of tasks which includes posting adverts, maintaining data integrity on our ATS (Ashby), arranging interviews etc

  • Providing On-going Support - to the Recruitment Manager and wider team

  • Seek ways to Improve - continuous improvement mindset, looking at ways we can do things better 

  • Help Raise Brand Awareness - both online and from time to time  in person events

WHAT WE VALUE:

  • Experience hiring impressive technical talent within a busy in-house recruitment function

  • Strong sourcing skills through a variety of methods (proficiency using LinkedIn Recruiter/Boolean strings), attracting passive candidates and building diverse pipelines

  • Driven to find the ‘hard to find’ skill sets

  • Able to deliver a high level of customer service to ensure everyone has a great candidate experience 

  • Able to multitask, ideally have worked within a fast-paced or high-volume environment

  • Team player who actively contributes to the team's successes

  • A ‘can do attitude’ able to get stuck in with a variety of tasks 

WHAT YOU MAY ALSO HAVE:

  • Experience recruiting within the Games or Technology space 

  • Have worked across various time zones

The Process

Due to the time of year and upcoming leave, we may not be able to shortlist and conduct interviews until January 2025. We kindly ask for your patience during this time. All applications will be reviewed thoroughly. Candidates who are shortlisted will be invited to an initial interview with our Recruitment Manager. This will be followed by a final interview with members of our wider team.Please note, this role is based in our Cardiff studio, so regular weekly attendance at the office will be required.
